Irony... or math joke?

Seen on license plate: OBTUSE

Why would someone put this on a vanity plate? Might as well have "IDIOT" or "MORON"!
The only positive thing I can think of is an obtuse angle... but it still doesn't make sense.

Any guesses?

Seen at my office's cafeteria:

Today's special:
Ham and Bacon Quiche with pasta salad or fires

I wonder what kind of container would hold the fires?
Except for the castles and people in animal costumes, pretty close

"I love this building. It's like Disneyland."
- 2 guys talking in an elevator yesterday, at my office.

I've never been to Disneyland, but I'm pretty sure there are a few differences to my office.
Maybe our cafeteria is better than I thought?
Seen on back of truck

"O JO TOO SMAL" - Claimed on the back of a building supplies truck.

Presumably, it used to say NO JOB TOO SMALL, but letters have worn away due to weather and salt on the roads.
I find it ironic that there's no job too small, except maybe keeping up with painting their truck.
Insects

"...sounds like giant buzzing insects..."
- A friend of mine at work yesterday

I had to ask him what the deal was. Apparently, if you have headphones turned to a low volume, they can sound like "giant buzzing insects chewing on leaves" to other people in the room. Who knew?
