Not strictly in passing, but made me chuckle. All you need to know is that Snowy is the family dog.

This must have been the world's shortest game of 20 questions.

"Is it animal?"
"Yes."
"Is it Snowy?"
"Oh... yes."
"That was rubbish."
"Okay now I've got one you'll never guess... it's animal..."
"Is it the baby Jesus?"
"Damn. Yes"

And this wasn't a small child. This was my mother.

"...I don't think it's someone dead trying to communicate with us. I think the telly's just on the blink..."

"So this woman, Joy, is meant to come in on a Monday and teach us first aid, but shenever turns up. I'm thinking that perhaps it's meant to be some sort of philosophical treasure hunt- The Search for Joy."

(In case you were wondering why I filed that under beautiful, it's cause I particularly like the concept of a philosophical treasure hunt.)
