Conjugating verbs in Texas
Submitted by Mori on Mon, 01/24/2005 - 6:57pm. Funny
Me: I forget between 'vosotros' and 'nosotros' ... one means 'we' and the other means a group of other people...

Him: At my school, they told us 'vosotros' meant 'y'all'.

~Is it wrong this this Jersey girl (me) laughed my ass off at him for a full minute?

Well, my teacher was from DC, and she would either say "you all" or "y'all" for 2nd person plural. My class did mildly tease her if her accent drifted southerly, but all in good fun.

no, it isn't. hee!

again, i'd refer you to the (or one of) the threads in which we (nosotros) discuss the various acceptable uses and conjugations of "y'all", but i'd hate to break my record of never finding links like that myself.

plus? i'd bet a cookie you'll never forget the difference again.
