"Pumpkin? What color is a lipstick called 'pumpkin' supposed to be? That doesn't tell me at all."
"Uh, orange, like Halloween?"
"Oh. *opens lipstick, looks at it* I was thinking like, 'Ohhh my wittle pumpkin.'"

Thanks marinerd.
He was born a stones throw away from where I grew up.
My grandmother claimed to know him in some 6 degrees of separtion way.

Way to go, Tim. But I think my favorite role of his was Judge Roy Bean in the Westerner (Gary Cooper... yum!)

There was no disrobing, pictures or not.
What have I told you about innuendos and people younger than your own kids?! hehehehe

Apple, you can visit me in Oklahoma any ol' time you feel like it. Cuz western OK is so. pretty. that I can't imagine why you'd stay away, banning or no. =oP

Well, ok then. Me sitting in the corner mumbling names of ancient actors was starting to freak Mr Man out.

Well Apple if you honestly did know, (without looking it up) who the Real McCoys were, then you can be 'unbanned' (sorry, can't do nothin' about Oklahoma, though).

Oh what the heck, I like AppleMan too, you're unbanned. (Besides I'm sure he's much tougher than me and I don't wanna get on his bad side).

Well... that... that's just not right!

I finally find a place to use the useless knowledge floating around in my head and you ban me??? Gah!

I'm gonna spout the answers anyway. Give the points to whomever repeats me.

I always liked Walter Brennan. Did you know he was the first person to win the "Best Supporting Actor" Oscar? He won 3 altogether. I've seen him in movies in the 30s and 40s, and he looked and sounded just as old as he did when he was actually old (just skinnier).

I'm gonna give the Loonie pt. to marinerd, cause she knew and ban Apple from all TV trivia from now on. (In addition to being banned from OK) *g*.

And Kris, disrobing on IP is allowed but only if you post pictures... sorry, channeled Monk there for a second.

Walter Brennan, Andy Clyde, Richard Crenna, Betty Garde, Tony Martinez, Kathy Nolan, Lydia Reed, Michael Winkleman.

Anything else you want to know??

I remember when Leonard Nimoy did the Mark and Brian show. He told the story of growing up in Roy's neighborhood--how all the kids were scared that Dale would die first, cause Jesus, look what he did to the dog and the horse....

Three in a row! I was right, the TV sidekick to Roy was Pat (Brady).

You were also right, Apple. The movie sidekick to Roy was Gabby Hayes. (See the namelink for info about Gabby.)

Apple, I don't think the sidekick on Roy Rogers TV show was Gabby Hayes. Wasn't he the guy in many John Wayne movies? And probably a million others. I guess I'll have to google to find out. Was it Pat? I'll go check.

Heh. How could you think I'd use Google?? *grin*

I only use it when I have time to double check what I am almost sure of. I'm all second-guess-ish.

You know that math game you'd play with your kids? Well, my dad did that too, only with odd bits of trivia. Especially old movies. I got most of my knowledge from Dad and AMC. I used to get in trouble for sneaking up to watch Nick @ Nite and AMC.

Marinerd, are you speaking of Gabby Hayes?

"That's dirty pool!"

I loved Roy Rogers. And Dale and Nelliebelle and Bullet (was that the dog's name?). I can't remember the sidekick's name though. I remember during the opening credits they were all racing down a dirt road at top speed, but the jeep never seemed to catch up to Trigger and Buttermilk. A different universe, but a nice one.

My trivia knowledge never quite works when people are watching! Actually, nothing works when people are watching. You know in sitcom situations when they get in front of a camera, how they totally freeze and just stare at it like a moron?? That's me in public.

In high school, my teachers let me sit in the way back of the room for tests, otherwise I'd freeze if anyone was behind me.

You can take me to Vegas, but don't bet on me. That's how my brothers always made money off me.

Roy Rodgers.

And yes...I'm a movie freak. Back off.

Just yesterday I weirded out Mycroft because he was flipping channels, stopped for 3 seconds on a movie...

"Freejack?"

"Yeah. You've seen it so many times you can tell from only three seconds?"

"Never seen it."

"Then how...? Just...nevermind."

This is pretty much par for the course.
