A little knowledge...

"What knowledge do you think was sacrificed in favor of your alarming capacity for pop culture?"
"Who knows? I might have the brain cell that was destined to hold the cure for cancer, but instead I filled it with Madonna lyrics."

I just don't think this makes sense. She can't become a scientist and find the cure for cancer because she knows too many Madonna songs? I dunno, in general the theory that we forget old things when we learn new things just doesn't make sense to me. Seems like our capacity for learning increases the more we learn, instead of staying the same.

Cute quote, though. Also, it seems to me, in light of recent posts predicting or proclaiming IP's demise, that we should just do what we used to do, but with other people's quotes, instead of the main page. Who's with me?

Never apologize. Never explain.

It's harder to follow the reader posts because most people will just check out the front page. I kinda liked the old "Passed By" section that had all of those together.

Madonna, cure for cancer, I can't think of anything to say about that.
