Ahh, bliss. Today is my birthday. I'm younger than Steff, but older than...hmmm..who am I older than on here? Eve!! I'm older than Eve.

I love my birthday! Also the birthday of Beethoven, Jane Austen and the Boston Tea Party.

I'd like snow, please!

This doesn't fit, but I just wanted to throw it in somewhere. I'm overhearing myself, does that count?

Happy birthday, Igirly! I'd send ya something, but we all know it would end badly. Did you get your snow? I know a couple dealers, but I don't know if they'd make that long a trip... :D

Snow

No snow...at least, not exactly. No ACTUAL snow, but we put up our traditional horribly tacky christmas tree in the office here and my boss ran over to the secondhand thrift store and bought a can of fake snow for the tree. He and my other co-worker went out at lunch and looked for a brown cedar tree in a ditch outside of town. They found it, brought it back and Merry Christmas! But the snow? It expired in 1989...and it smells like CFC's and anus.

Which, oddly, reminds me of the last time you sent me something. Badly indeed--but such a story! :) Thanks, though!

I love Mike!

Happy belated!

Many happy returns! Lately, when I get birthday cake at someone's party, I say "Thank you for being born".

We got some snow last night and today... if you like, I could mail some to you. Of course, its end state would be a little soggy. ;)

For she's a jolly good igirly,
For she's a jolly good igirly,
For she's a jolly good igirly,
Which nobody can deny
(Or I'll scorn them mercilessly)!

No songwriter I, guess I'll stick to my day job.

Oh, and you do share your bday with cool people, even if some of them are pining for the fjords... my favorite bday sharing (of my own natal holiday) is with Christopher Durang, the satiric playwright.

"CFCs and anus"?

Aww, that's what I was gonna get you!

The snow takes a few days to deliver. It'll probably show up in about a week and be of the blinding white-out variety. There's still kinks to be worked out in the ol' weather sattelite.

Happy belated birthdays n' stuff! (I should put that on a greeting card)
Steff will love this

Turns out, my birthday is also shared by Benjamin Bratt and, AND, Sir Arthur C. Clarke, who is 87 today.

I love Mike!

Heh.

Happy Birthday, Intelligirly. Sharing a birthday with Beethoven and Jane Austen is pretty cool, but you easily have the edge over them, in particular because you are still alive. As I am in an "jump the opportunity and embarass yourself mood", here's some, uhm, work in progress:

The early bird

You, you better start getting up real early
Don't be a fool, don't lose your cool, be true
You, you want to catch your very own Intelligirly
But girls like her don't come easy or out of the blue

She's got a mind of her own
You're used to leaflets, but she's a tome
So take a seat front row center stage
And savor every single page...

Peegee, you have no idea how much I love that! Truly it's a wonderful thing. Shall it have music to it or is it a poem? If music, I'd love to hear it. If a poem, I shall memorize it.

I've printed it out to hang on my wall here at work. And I'm going to have a huge smile on my face every time I look at it. It's perfect!

It's supposed to be music, sort of early Beatles style, but since I don't play in a band it's only in my head. And it's supposed to have another verse or two...

More?

Well, when it does, let me know. For now, I'm savoring what's here.

I just got flowers!! A basket of posies from a girl I've known for about two months, and a single white rose (my favorite flower) from an unknown someone. The card just says, "Happy Birthday!"

Have I mentioned that I love my birthday?

I love Mike!

Fine...I'll listen for comments here. There are usually plenty to fall under the "tragic" category.

And, thanks Mr. Monk!

I love Mike!
