"I don't care, it's hopeless."
"At least you have hope. I'm without hope."
"Um. Hope-less? Meaning also without hope?"

Hope-less? Meaning also without hope?

Uh, I don't grok the "also" in that sentence. What else does hopeless mean?

I think the guy meant "Hope-less? Meaning [I am] also without hope?" As in, "You aren't the only one who has no hope; I also am without hope."

Seems to me

Both their problems could be solved through the introduction of a thrid person in their relationship.

Named 'Hope' of course.

Well Eve can't spelling, that's for sure (*g*). I had a forlorn hope that all those A's in school woulda helped, but, alas, it was for nought.

And doesn't hope float?

But I mourn the loss of some of the bathroom graffiti in the Grotto - the men's bathroom (and possibly the women's although I wouldn't know) was repainted over Christmas break. One of these days, I may have to think up something clever, and add my own semipermanent mark :)

What if cave-man janitors had washed off all the graffiti they found on cave walls?

Apple, you just proved that somethings never change. Your state of mind, in this case.

Nice one, hypo. But something tells me Apple's IRL name probably isn't Pandora.

Dementia is quite a nice state in which to live. Plus, no forwarding address is necessary.

There's always the State of Confusion, but I can never find the address...

Because I'm also careless."

This just proves that guys lose out with unisex bathrooms. There was a line?

So, is it a soapy kind of hope, Apple? Because that would be a little slick and I would be worried about dropping it...not that it would matter to the poor hopeless man.

I can't believe that nobody remembered to pack the hope.
