Nice one.

No, I believe Monk's job involves testing certain 'things' which are of advantage to other people.
There, I said it in as neutral (but not neutered) a tone as possible.

Well, it's sort of a catch-all phrase. I mean...otherwise you have to start classifying every one of them into animal, vegetable, or mineral.

And Kat? No, you're not. Heh.

No, no, no steff. It was a specific quote.

By John Goodman, at the Emmy's - accepting his statue. Great quote, much appreciated by the 'guys'.

Sorry timmy - guess you weren't as up to date on Dana Delaney as you thought you were. No cool pts for you!

Well it won't be the first or last time I think of Ms. Delaney in a bathroom.

Well timbo (and I'm just sure you love that nickname) - the next time you're in a 'public' bathroom, look at the top of the 'flush valve'. Chances are that it'll say 'Delaney' (those big Chrome valves).

Now's how's that for trivia.

And I just want to thank Dana Delaney for wearing that dress!

1 Cool pt.

Okay, actually, Obs' comment was, "Yes, it's possibly the only move that Keanu Reeves does not entirely suck in," thereby saying that he entirely sucked in every other movie he's done, just not quite so much in this one. Or this Matrix trilogy, now.

I'm going to keep my Keanu-bashing to a minimum so I don't repeat a thread I had going a while back, but I think he's turned in two good acting performances in his entire career: Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure (because he wasn't acting at all, just reading lines) and The Devil's Advocate, because of a director who could really eek out of the guy what he needed, along with what must be some great editing.

I'm gonna go watch my Donnie Darko DVD now.

A question for the general public:

Was I the only person in the world who didn't really like The Matrix all that much?

Yes, it's possibly the only move that Keanu Reeves does not entirely suck in, and the special effects were very cool. I just don't think it's as wonderful as everyone makes it out to be.

Backing away from credits (the original superman credits were 19 1/2 minutes long - we know - we timed them) conversation and right on into Reloaded - ahhh, it was a nice link. It was great to listen to someone who got it.

I went the first day and someone was asking me how it was. My response: "It's a good philosophy movie with some awesome special effects." The number of people who failed to notice or refused to notice that the whole purpose of the movies is to allow these guys to expound a philosophy (just candy-coated as stated) and are now bitching about it showing up in this one... sigh. I agree that 3/4 of the reviewers don't seem to get it.

Talky? Yeah. That's kinda the point. Basic philosophy? Not based on what I learned and when. And most of the people I know who attended college and took these classes barely remember this stuff - so it's way "new ideas" to a lot of people.

And personally, not to spoil anyone, I've long figured that zion was just another layer of false reality... "make 'em think their free..." kind of thing. Let's see if that's true. I think it would best explain the whole Neo thing at the end.
