I had scalloped potatoes last night. From a box. I didn't really want them, but I had milk in my refrigerator that was on the cusp of spoiling-- too strange tasting to drink but not quite curdled yet-- and I didn't want to waste it.

So yeah, drop dead you smug romantic bastards. Bah.
