A great line from Herb Caen's column (a legendary SF Columnist) was about a couple from the Bay Area who were visiting friends in Texas and the Waitress said they have two kinds of wine 'Red and White'. So the guy asked for Red and they brought him a glass of Rose. (Which is actually a white wine, though it's pink in color). When he explained to the waitress this fact she exclaimed: Oh you wanted Purple!
